Nothing is Something
Nothing is Something (2023) 2:18min, 16mm, BW, Silent
An interplay of monochrome vignettes shifting between warped text, the body, and nature, this work explores the poetry of mundanity. Collaged scenes of shadows, mirrors and language set alight, the film becomes a survey of fragmented instances. The viewer is left to piece together the silence of this inexplicable trance. Inspired by the Fluxus movement, the title becomes the film's poetic language as we are brought through existential statements that are then performed.
